Research to Advance Health Reform

Curated Research

We created this curated research list to inform policymakers and advocates on topics pertinent to the health reform debate. Updated quarterly, it builds on work begun by the Bipartisan Policy Center, and is supported by a monthly “policy list” of research compiled by staff at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

This easy to navigate list is sortable according to users’ interests. We have compiled literature that answers questions such as: Where and why are markets working? Where and why are they failing? What can be done to increase the effectiveness of these markets? Is the path we are on sustainable, affordable, and equitable for employers and individuals? How do various interventions affect health equity? How well is the Affordable Care Act functioning? What steps can be made to improve it? Which policies are detracting from its operation?

In addition to aiding policymakers, researchers, and advocates in understanding the research and guiding policy, this tool can also be used to identify research gaps to prompt funders to support work in the areas deserving additional study.
